In the coming years, 2023-2026, I am working on a project funded by the Magyar Művészeti Akadémia (MMA). The goal of this project is to write guide for viola da gamba players which gives them the historical background information for their studies. The book will include some more theoretical chapters on the history of the viol and its bow, but my idea is to make the historical information to a practical guide – about playing technique, ornamentation, repertoire or the instrument itself.
